About this item
A beautiful Victorian silver and agate brooch. Made in Scotland around 1860-1880 probably in Edinburgh. The natural moss agate colours complement the natural colours of tweed jackets and coats. The extended pin clips into a Victorian "C" clasp. Queen Victoria made agate jewellery very fashionable with her visits to Balmoral in Scotland, she often gifted them to friends and family. The eight varied agates are individually set in silver and are all in perfect condition
