About this item
A beautiful Victorian Scottish silver, citrine and granite brooch. Although unmarked it was probably made in Aberdeen around 1860. The brooch has two different granites in the main body. The dark gray is from Rubislaw Quarry in Aberdeen and the black flecked pink is from Peterhead on the north east coast of Aberdeenshire. They are set in silver and have a large citrine claw mounted in the centre. The pin on the back links into a "C" clasp fitting. A very rare and collectible Scottish brooch.
