This is a large antique buffet. An English, walnut server or sideboard, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

Upper platform with prominent, shaped back stand, accentuated with foliate carving

Pair of inset drawers to the fascia, with wide drawer boxes and decorative inset banding

Each drawer dressed with an ornate pair of drop handles over decorated back plates

Fabulous turned balusters supporting the generous gallery to the middle

Two cabinets situated within the base, with field panel doors

Door secured with a brass lock escutcheon — in working order, key present

The buffet stands upon a continuous, stout plinth base
