Antique Georgian Oak Writing Bureau

An attractive Georgian oak writing bureau. It has a fall front that reveals an impressive, fitted interior. There are several drawers and pigeonholes around a small central cupboard. There are also some secret drawers and a well. The fall front is supported by two draw leaf arms that each have a small brass knob. The base consists of three small fitted dummy drawers (to accommodate the well) and an arrangement of three short drawers over two longer drawers and a single long drawer to the base. Raised on decorative bracket feet with later added castors.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places, including some age-related marks and ink staining to the top, fall front, drawers, and also writing surface inside. Of good construction with the drawers running smoothly. Honest repair made to the top where the lock plate sits (pictured). No keys present. Some replacement boards to the back.

Timescale: 5-15 working days. You will receive full delivery details once your order has been placed. For Scotland, delivery may take longer than 15 working days. Please note, the courier service is to the external doorstep, the courier will also deliver on their own so you will need to arrange for someone to help your end.

Delivery Exemptions: We do not deliver to areas outside of mainland UK (i.e Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Scilly Isles).

International & European: We do not currently ship outside of mainland UK.

Collection: Our shop is based in the village of Penderyn, South Wales, CF44 0TJ.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
