Fine Sheraton Revival Inlaid Ladies Desk

A fine Maple & Co. of London Sheraton Revival mahogany and marquetry inlaid satinwood banded ladies desk. The figured mahogany top having satinwood cross banding between box wood and ebony stringing over 2 conforming inlaid drawers with brass handles. The wonderful flame mahogany and marquetry inlaid fall with flowers, swags and an urn all in local and exotic woods with very good pen work. The fall opens to reveal a good quality green leather and gilt tooled writing surface with 3 inlaid drawers a pen tray with 2 original ink wells. The lower section having a wide drawer again with conforming satinwood banding and brass handles. The whole raised on square tapering legs with outline stinging and strengthening cross stretchers and brass square cup casters. This fine ladies desk is excellent original condition with working brass locks and keys.
