    A good quality early Victorian mahogany cylinder bureau bookcase. The top section having an angled cornice with beaded frieze above a pair of glazed doors with attractive astragal glazing bars. The doors open to 3 adjustable mahogany faced shelves.The cylinder opens to reveal a well fitted interior having 11 pigeon holes with 3 drawers and complete with adjustable reading slope and 3 leather writing surfaces. The base section has a pair of panelled doors which open to reveal a shelved interior with generous storage space. The stiles having handsome applied columns with carved corbels and the whole raised on a plinth base. This bureau bookcase is in excellent original condition with working locks and keys.
