    A large and top quality George III Gentleman's bureau of generous proportions. Constructed from superb figured mahogany with oak linings throughout. The bureau has 4 graduated and cock beaded drawers with brass swan neck handles, escutcheons and working locks and keys. The mahogany fall with unusual yew wood cross banding between boxwood and ebony stinging which opens to reveal a well fitted interior which has 10 pigeon holes and 2 banks of 3 drawers and a small centre cupboard with Sheraton inlay which opens to reveal another 3 drawers flanked by 2 tall drawers. The replaced black leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. This wonderful quality piece of George II period furniture has a wonderful original colour and patina and stands on shaped bracket feet.
