    About this item

A nineteenth century, beechwood butter print carved with a cow. Most cows, on butter prints, are depicted standing whereas this one is depicted grazing which makes it slightly different to the usual. It is very well carved, with good depth and detail. It is likely, due to the shape of the print and handle, that originally it would have had an outer cup. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a rich and fairly dark patina.

    English. Date c.1880.

Dimensions: Diameter 10.6cm. Length of print and handle 12cm.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £15. Most of Western Europe add £8.
