About this item

A Victorian sycamore butter roller. This is English and it dates from c.1890. It would have been used for imprinting a design around the edge of a large block of butter. The wheel is carved with a geometric design and this is attached to the handle by a wooden peg. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a nice, pale patina.

Dimensions: Length 12.2cm. Width 3.8cm. Diameter of wheel 5.2cm.
