    About this item

A very unusual, 19th century butter print. This is carved from a combination of woods. The print is carved in sycamore with a geometric design. The handle is carved from ash and this is possibly screwed into place but there is also a peg to help hold it. I have never seen a butter print made in this way before. There are a couple of wood worm holes but these have now been treated and the worm is no longer active. Otherwise it is in very good condition and the wood has a lovely patina.

Dimensions: Diameter of print 11.5cm. Length 15cm.

    English. Date c.1860.

Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £15. Most of Western Europe add £8.
