About this item
A lovely, mid Victorian carved wooden butter print. This piece is very well carved, in sycamore, with strawberries, flowers and foliage. The carving is very fine and it is very well detailed. It dates from c.1860. The handle and print are carved separately and they are carved with a screw thread to put them together. It is in excellent condition and the wood has a very attractive, pale patina.
