Antique 19th century Victorian side cabinet in mahogany, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine craftsmanship throughout.
The deep ogee-moulded frieze conceals a full-width secret drawer with no visible handle, ideal for keeping valuables or papers out of sight. Below, a pair of panelled doors with lock and key open to a spacious interior fitted with a single shelf.
The doors are decorated with attractive double-arched mouldings in the Gothic Revival manner and are flanked by a pair of turned columns, all standing on a deep moulded plinth base. The back is made from traditional pine boards.
The mahogany displays a lovely figured grain, particularly across the frieze, and a warm, rich colour with an attractive patina.
Of compact, neat proportions, it is equally at home in a dining room, living room or hallway. Presented in good antique condition, with some light marks to the top consistent with age. A very desirable Victorian mahogany side cabinet, a perfect addition to any traditional interior.

Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.

Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.

Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.

Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.

If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
