Louis XV style Vernis Martin kingwood vitrine, the pierced and brass gallery to the top over a single part-glazed door and a painted panel beneath, depicting figures in an idyllic landscape, in the style of Watteau’s fete galante (courtship scene). The inside has three velvet lined display shelves over one blind shelf behind the panel. Concave canted sides glazed and with panels decorated with flora and fauna garlands.
The cabinet has good cast rococo mounts and stands upon cabriole legs with ormolu feet.
