Zara Vintage Indian Glass Cabinet

Layers of old blue, green and rust-coloured paint have weathered back across the Zara, leaving a surface that reads almost like a map of its own history. Lower and wider than most, this glazed cabinet sets four glass-panelled doors in a row, each opening to an open compartment behind. The paint has rubbed through to bare wood on the corners and rails, the colours fading into one another so no two boards look quite alike.

Stand it beneath a window with glassware and ceramics behind the panes, or use it as a low display cabinet that breaks up a long hallway.
