Beautiful painted toleware candle lamp in hard to find original condition with excellent patina.

These lamps were specifically designed to be used on a card table for the game of Bouillotte which is smiliar to the game of Poker the chips for this game would have been held in the dish like base. The candle holders and shades can be highered or lowered on the central brass coloumn by way of adjusting a brass thumb screw.

Condition commensurate with age and use.
