Unusual pair of Art Deco 'Cat' candlesticks by Franz Hagenuauer, circa 1930.

Franz Hagenauer was part of the family-run business in Vienna that produced fine, handcrafted pieces for over ninety years. Franze specialised in creating sculptures from sheet metal rather than cast figures which makes them easily recognisable.

These feline candlesticks are modeled so that each head shape creates a matchbox holder frame.

Both are in good condition and are super chic, they will be a great addition to any table setting or bedroom side table. Fabulously sculptural decorative pieces.
