A fine quality Regency rosewood D shaped card table, the top with fluted carved front edge, has a thin band of boxwood outside a tulipwood crossband, then a wonderful wide band of burr yew which is also strung on the inside with boxwood and ebony, the main panel being figured rosewood. The table stands on a turned column with fluted band and three splay legs with carved claw and ball feet. The back legs move on a pivot to supprt the top which when open has a fine tulipwood crossband with blue baize which is probably original . A rare model in excellent condition throughout with fine veneers.. English Circa 1815.
