About this item
19th century decorative French giltwood margin mirror with curved top and base, highly decorated with pierced, scrolling acanthus leaves at each corner, high acanthus leaf upper cartouche flanked with urns of flowers and leaves and shell decoration at base. Each side of the mirror has a delicate vertical line of carving laid over a section of mirrored glass. There is some light age in the mirror plate but it gives an excellent reflection.
