About this item
An elegant antique hanging lantern crafted in heavy cast metal, richly detailed with classical cherub figures supporting the lower body. The lantern is suspended from decorative chain links with repeating pierced motifs, adding both strength and visual interest.
At the centre sits a beautifully shaped flame-form glass shade, softly diffusing the light and enhancing the historic character of the piece. The aged patina throughout the metalwork highlights the fine relief detailing and gives the lantern an authentic antique presence.
Likely dating to the late 19th / early 20th century, this lantern would make a striking statement in a hallway, stairwell, porch, or period interior. A perfect blend of decorative artistry and functional lighting, ideal for those seeking a distinctive antique feature.
