A Rare 19th Century Figured Mahogany Oval Drum Table

A rare 19th Century figured mahogany drum table, finely hand carved and of exceptional  quality with rich patination and grain.  The well figured, moulded top of oval form with beautifully detailed gadroon edge is raised over a classically simple frieze with two drawers, each fitted with brass escutcheon and key.   Supported on finely turned hexagonal tapering pod above quatrefoil base with elegant, fluted outswept scroll legs with geometric panelling, c and s scroll motif detail finely carved in high relief, terminating on brass casters.
