A mid 19th century (circa 1860) fine quality Kingwood inlaid centre table in the French style - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This table consists of a shaped top with extremely fine quality marquetry decoration of exotic woods, the top consisting of a central inlaid panel depicting a Classical scene of noblemen and women strolling in a landscape with a Chateau and fountain to the centre, all surrounded by a shaped Kingwood crossbanding with applied outer ormolu moulding with mounts to each corner.
This leads down to a fine quality inlaid frieze to all four sides of the table consisting of floral inlaid decoration within ebony ground surrounded by boxwood stringing and Kingwood banding with an oak lined drawer to the front.
The table is supported by four elegant cabriole legs consisting of ebony, boxwood stringing and Kingwood banding all with applied ormolu mounts to the top, terminating with ormolu sabots.
This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
