    About this item

    Regency Ebonised Writing Centre Table
Striking black ebonised table constructed in beech with contrasting white stringing. The top with a moulded edge and inset fabric top, a pair of drawers, well turned legs with matching white stringing collars, original brass and ceramic castors.  This table is finished all round so can sit in the middle of the room, the fabric top is designed for writing but it would make a perfect lamp table.
    British, circa 1830

Condition: Very good condition throughout, the fabric top shows signs of use and is marked, this can clearly be seen from the photos, there are also some bruises to the moulded edge, the bone stringing is not as uniformly crisp as it once would have been but the overall appearance is genuine and uniform, it is in lovely useable condition.
