EARLY STAFFORDSHIRE CHILD'S PLATE
BEAR AND BEES
Staffordshire England ~ c. 1840
This 7 3/4" plate has a crisp image transfer printed in rich dark black. The plate feature an eight sided border with incredible impressed beading and scrolling designs leading to the central transfer printed image. The transfer is in black of a Bear being stung as it robs a Bee hive.
Condition is good, with a hairline crack off the 9 o’clock position. Appears to have never been used.
