EARLY BROWN AESTHETIC TRANSFERWARE PLATTER

This is a large stunning transferware platter dates to 1883. The oval platter measures 17 " long and 13 3/8 " wide. The color is a rich sepia or wonderful dark chocolate brown.
The pattern is named PALMYRA, featuring a fantastic wide, busy band of sunflowers with a background of geometric shapes. The well of the platter has a central flower pot full of oversized sunflowers surrounded by rows of buttercups and geometrical flourishes.
The piece is in fabulous condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
