Very sweet little Sevres jam pot and cover beautifully painted in pink roses with a gilded leaf and berry shaped finial. A gilt band around the foot and dentil rims to the cover and pot. Marked to the base in blue enamel for 1780 and the initials PS for Louis-Pierre Schilt, the flower painter and Boulanger (father), the gilder.
It measures 7.5cm (3") high and 6.5cm (2 5/8") wide.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. There are 2 gilt flake losses to one leaf of the knop and the gilt dentil rim inside the pot and on the very rim has been rubbed away. The outer decoration is all good, just very minor wear to the gilt rim on the cover.
