About this item
A very stylish Art Deco 'Cuba' vase, made by the Howard Pottery Co of Shelton, Staffordshire, under their Brentleigh Ware tradename. It dates to approximately the 1920s/30s and is very much in the abstract Cubist style. The design is cut into the surface of the pottery. It is boldly coloured with blocks of black, red, yellow and green and is very striking. The base is marked with the pattern name and tradename.
