This large awesome Victorian aesthetic 10 inch soup plate is transfer printed in brown and further enhanced with rich colorful under glaze hand painting . Delicious! The clear and crisp MELBOURNE pattern features delightful Japanesque geometric designs mixed with exotic palm trees and other tropicals. A shoreline with sailing vessels set to the horizon while a large flock of birds fly by.
An inset cartouche of a large winged Heron in flight within a moon landscape and another inset of a Egyptian type moths circling a flower. This pattern has everything going for it. The pattern displays the Victorian eras love of the exotic.
Never Used and in Great condition, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
