About this item
An interesting American advertising calendar plate, presented with the compliments of H Perlman, butcher & grocer of Newark, New Jersey in 1911. The plate is decorated with a transfer design with the pages of a calendar in the centre surrounded by swags of roses. The back is marked 'Imperial China'. Advertising plates like this were popular in the USA in the early 20th century. The plate has some signs of wear but still displays well.
