About this item
An attractive pair of silver candlesticks of square form to the stepped bases and columns and mounted with circular sconces. Neoclassical styling with ornate raised friezes of a husk and paterae pattern in between beaded frames repeated up the base and around the sconces and similar hanging garland and acanthus leaf detailing up the columns. Hallmarked for Chester 1907, makers Walker & Hall.
They measure 20.3cm (8") high and 8.8cm (3 1/2") wide.
In very good condition with no damage, dents or repairs. Minor handling wear, mainly just to the high points on the decoration nearer the top of the sconces and there is a small scratch to the back of the base of one.
