This is an antique Oriental fruit plate. A Japanese, handpainted ceramic charger or dish, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Appealing Japanese iconography with bright palette. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout. Crisp white ground bordered with a deep black rim accentuated with foliate motif. Hand-painted storks graze beneath a tree in blossom, with a Pagoda in the background. Replete with character mark to reverse
This is an attractive antique Oriental fruit plate, as useful on the table top as it could be mounted upon a wall. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
Condition : Presented in very good antique condition.
