    About this item

A pretty Derby porcelain coffee can with a well shape handle with inner spur and thumb rest. Decorated in the French style with stylized cornflower "barbeaux" sprigs. Gilt border either side of the rim, and down the back of a handle. Red printed Bloor mark, c.1820.

    It measures 6.6cm (2 5/8") high and 6.6cm (2 5/8") rim to rim.

Condition is good: there is a short tight hairline to the rim barely visible outside and a fleabite to the foot which might be original.  with no damage or repair. The is some very fine crazing, more obviously to a slightly thickened area of glaze above the foot and little discolouration inside to the edges of the base. Light handling wear.
