About this item
A fine mid 18th century Meissen porcelain figure of a boy or putto stood next to a large urn with a posy in his right hand. Crossed swords mark to the base and incised and impressed numbers, c.1760.
He measures 13.5cm (5 5/16") high and 9cm (3 1/2") wide by 6.5cm (2 9/16") deep.
In excellent condition with no damage bar some very minor losses to the stalks of the posy. No damage or restoration. The urn would have had a cover originally I believe and there is some clear wear to the gilt on the rim and more minor wear to the gilt on the scrolls around vase. Minimal handling wear to the enamels. There is a short firing line inside the base of the urn.
