This stunning earthenware transferware plate is a wonderful piece of 19th century transferware! The plate measures 9 3/8 " in diameter and is transfer printed in dark chocolate brown. It is beautifully decorated with a continuous roping of flowers along the rim, a bird perched upon a limb and wild grain surround two vignettes of Fruit and a Mallard duck in flight. An exceptional pattern.
The piece is in great condition, clean shiny and bright. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs. A few light utensil marks
