About this item

An 18th century Caughley porcelain sparrow beak milk jug printed with the rare Fenced Garden pattern c,1780-1785. Grooved strap handle, detailed floral border inside the rim and marked with underglaze blue S mark to the base.

It measures 9.3cm (3 11/16") high, 8cm (3 1/8") spout to handle and 6.4cm (2 1/2") wide.

Condition is very good; there is a small chip to the side of the spout. No other damage or restoration and minor handling wear.
