Early Black Transferware Large Plate
PALESTINE PATTERN

Longport, Staffordshire, England 1836 - 1864
This is a gorgeous plate, circa 1840. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide with a wavy scalloped edge.
The piece is decorated in the pattern called PALESTINE. The transfer print features a Persian scene with abundant dahlia flowers and fancy roofed gazebos with mountains and temple in the background. Scenic vignettes of a flower strewn river bank with domes and minarets in the background grace the border of this plate.
Great Condition, clean shiny and bright. Never Used.
