    A lovely Chelsea porcelain twin handled vase with a washed underglaze blue ground and a large reserve on each side very delicately painted with scenes of lovers courting in the countryside. Framed with decorative gilding and all edges gilded also. A pair of ornate shaped and pierced scrolled handles are left white with gilt decoration. Gold anchor mark, c.1765.

    Provenance: what is clearly the same vase sold at Christie's Sale 14426 "Five Private Collections" on 07 June 2017, lot 416.

    It measures 18.8cm (7 3/8") high, 12.8cm (5") wide across the handles and 7cm (2 3/4") deep. 

    Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and very light handling wear. The inside has some crazing and minor discolouration.
