    About this item

A beautiful fine Chelsea porcelain bell shaped coffee cup and saucer finely painted with floral sprays in a lovely soft pastel palette with brown rims. Red anchor mark to both pieces, c.1752-1758.

    The saucer measures 12.5cm (4 7/8") wide and 1.8cm (3/4") high. The cup measures 5.8cm (2 1/4") high, 8cm (3 1/8") rim to handle and 6cm (2 /8") wide.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. The foot rims have been ground smooth. Very minor handling wear, slight rubbing to the brown rims and one tiny loss to the glaze on the saucer rim which appears to be from firing. There is also a small firing fault near the foot of the cup which has been disguised with a painted leaf.
