Chelsea Porcelain Red Anchor Period Floral Dessert Plate c.1753-58
A very pretty Chelsea porcelain shaped dessert plate, painted very finely with delicate floral sprays and sprigs with a caterpillar and ladybird, the decoration in typical style in a rich pastel palette. A red brown trim runs just inside the rim. Red anchor mark to the back, and stilt marks, c.1753-1758.
It measures just over 24cm (9 1/2") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high.
Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Surface wear is minimal, really just very minor to the brown trim.
Georgian (1714 to 1837)
