    About this item

A fine example of Bretby Art Pottery, produced by Tooth & Co in Woodville, Derbyshire. This vase is in the Art Deco style and comes from the Nerton Ware range. It is covered with a textured royal blue drip glaze, running into light green, yellow and brown. It is an appealing shape with four loop handles and rows of raised bumps to the neck.

The base bears the impressed Bretby trademark, along with the registered design number 2243, dating it to the early 1920s.

Condition : Good. A small, faint hairline can be seen on the inside of the neck, but this is not visible on the outside.
