This is a heavy pottery /stone pub match striker is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. Wonderful rare beehive shape.
This Tonic Wine is fortified with an overdose of caffeine. It was originally sold in small quantities as a medicine using the slogan "Three small glasses a day, for good health and lively blood”, A a senior politician labelled it as "a badge of pride amongst those who are involved in antisocial behaviour”.
Rare Beauty. The match strike is in very good condition, three small chips along the base. The strike were a mainstay in English pubs holding the matches upright and struck along the rough side of the piece.
