English Porcelain Coffee Can Probably Coalport c.1805
Very nice porcelain coffee can, c.1805, most likely made by Coalport (John Rose) decorated with underglaze blue elongated lobed shapes, decorated in gilt as stylised flowers. Very fine and detailed gilt decoration of foliage, garlands of circles and speckled background. Gilt rim and borders and gilt handle with very slight kick in shape.
It measures 6cm (2 3/8") high, 6.7cm (2 3/8") rim to rim and 8.8cm (3 1/2") rim to handle.
Condition is very good with no damage or repair and jut light surface wear to the gilt in places.
