This is a fabulous stoneware transfer printed Fish Paste or Potted Meat Pot. It once contained ground up meat products and sealed before there was refrigeration.
The crock stands 5 " tall, in great condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations. Screw top complete. Light rust stains from decades buried in a Victorian tip.
This delightful piece is a lovely a throwback to a much simpler time in the world of grocery advertising products. It will make a great addition to any collection of transfer printed advertising wares or kitchen wares.
