About this item
Unusual early Worcester leaf shape dish set on a shaped collet foot with naturalistic moulded veins, serrated edges and twig form handle. Decorated with a delicate pale green painted edge and printed in black with 3 finely detailed butterflies.
It measures 18cm (7") long, 13.5cm (5 3/8") wide and 4cm (1 5/8") high.
Condition is very good; there is a fine, stable hairline across the thin section of the "twig" near the lower end close to the body and a small surface chip to the very tip of one of the leaf points (you can see both in the final photo). A small glaze flake at the largest butterfly is fortunately well aligned to and obscured by the pattern; I only noticed it under a UV light inspection. No other damage or restoration and light surface wear.
