First period Worcester kidney shape dessert compotier painted in polychrome enamels in an unusual bold palette of pink, orange, yellow, dark blue and green. Rose and leaf repeating border and large floral sprays in the centre with further scattered small floral sprigs. Finished with a gilded rim. Unmarked, c.1770
It measures 28cm (11") by 21.5cm (8 1/2") wide and 4.5cm (1 3/4") high.
Condition is very good with no damage bar a few shallow frits to the foot rim and no restoration. Light surface wear appropriate for age and use.
