    About this item

Unusual early Worcester coffee cup and saucer previously from the Zorensky collection and marked with an open crescent, c.1775. Ribbed shape and decorated very similarly to the Lord Henry Thynne pattern with gilt decorated Royal blue border and painted fruit in between butterflies, but with a classical urn overflowing with flowers as the central reserve rather than a landscape scene but still farmed with a black and turquoise border.

The cup measures 2 1/2" high and 3 3/4" rim to handle.

The saucer measures 5 7/8" wide and 1 1/8" high.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration and light surface wear.
