Stunning first period Worcester teapot and stand decorated in the Meissen style, en camieau in puce enamel with oriental type floral decoration with gilded accents and rims. c.1765-1770. The stand is hexagonal with fluted sides and scalloped rim. The teapot is globular with grooved handle and the lid fitted with a flower bud knop and moulded leaves terminal.
The teapot measures 15cm (6") high, 19cm (7 1/2") long and 11.5cm (4 1/2") wide. The stand measures 14.5cm (5 3/4") across the diagonal and 13.7cm (5 3/8") side to side and 2cm (13/16") high.
Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. Surface wear is minimal to the enamel and gilding including the rim of the spout and there is just the very slightest fritting to the edges of the petals on the knop.
