    About this item

    Very nice early Worcester porcelain tea canister of ovoid form with fluted sides,c.1760. Finely painted with polychrome enamels in the kakiemon palette of floral sprays with iron red and turquoise around the neck, and pinks, purples, lime green and turquoise lower down. One side has a large reserve with bold floral display, framed with gilded leaves. Gilded highlights all around and decorative bands around the neck and foot.


    It measures 6 1/2" high and 3 1/4" wide.

    Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal surface wear. There are a few firing dots under the belly and under the foot.
