About this item

A Worcester porcelain lobed dessert plate with a blue scale ground with vase and mirror reserves, the latter painted in bright enamels with exotic "fancy birds" and the former with bugs and butterflies. Gilt embellishment to frame the reserves and a scalloped band inside the rim. Blue crescent mark, c.1770.

It measures 19cm (7 1/2") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and very minor handling wear.
