About this item
A pretty 18th century Worcester porcelain fluted junket dish decorated with a blue scale ground with ornate gilt framed white reserves finely painted with European flowers in bright enamels. Lots of detailed rococo gilt decoration across the blue ground with trailing flowers between the reserves. Blue square mark to the base, c.1770 and dealer sticker for Stoner & Evans.
It measures 24.5cm (9 5/8") wide and 4.7cm (1 7/8") high.
Condition is good: there is one small shallow rim chip and one tiny one under the gilt which appears original. There is also a firing hairline running a short way around the bowl which has been mainly disguised with the enamel decoration. Two small foot rim chips and the foot rim has been ground down. No repairs or restoration and very minor surface wear.
