    About this item

A Worcester porcelain globular teapot painted with scenes of Chinese figures, mother and child, one side with a young boy with a bird on his shoulder pointing at the woman seated at a table and the other with a woman holding a flowering branch and the child with a fishing rod type toy. The two boys are replicated on the cover and gilt, black and red enamel decoration in between the two scenes. c.1770.

    It measure 20.3cm (8") long, 12.7cm (5") wide and 15cm (4 7/8") high,

Condition: there has been some professional restoration to the spout, two small areas on the edge of the cover, and the knop. The spout I think has just been repaired and touched in and there is a small frit to the very tip. Minor surface wear.
